On Saturday September 14, 2019 at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City, H.R.H. The Duke of Calabria presided over the second investiture ceremony in the United States of new knights and dames of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George. The ceremony was officiated by our Patron, His Excellency Timothy Broglio, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of the Military Services-USA. Assisting Archbishop Broglio was Fr. Richard Mullins y Hernandez, KCHS, chaplain of the Royal Commission of the United States. The ceremony took place in the presence of a large audience, including Colonel Michael Andriani, President of the Royal Commission for the United States; Mr. José Francisco Fanjul y Gómez-Mena, President of the Royal Commission for the Antilles; Mr. Rafael Conde de Saro, Consul General of Spain in New York and Ms. María Bassols y Delgado, Ambassador Deputy Permanent Representative of Spain to the United Nations.
Prior to the service, the Grand Master H.R.H. Prince Peter of Bourbon-Two Sicilies and Orléans invested Archbishop Broglio as a Chaplain Grand Cross of Merit.
The Duke of Calabria invested into the ranks of the USA Royal Commission of the United States 20 new knights and 2 new dames, and promoted Chancellor Mr. Mike Hahn to Knight of Merit with Star. The new investees were: CPT Michael Andriani III, Dr. John R. Ballard, Dr. John Haas, Brigadier General Guy Sands-Pingot, Dr. Rosaline Cardarelli-Ballard, Mr. Alonzo Alvarez y Meola, LTC William Baker, Mr. Jeff Bedia, Mr. Brian Brown, CPT Andrew Cole, LTC Dr. Christopher Cummins, Dr. Michael Espiritu, Mr. James Florio, Dr. Richard Mena y Rios, Mr. Charles Mifsud, Dr. Ernesto Molmenti, Mr. Nicholas Nelson, Mr. Peter-Anthony Pappas, Mr. John Reiner, Mr. Felipe Victoria y Grueso, and Mrs. Geraldine Dixon-Speer.
Following the Investiture Mass, a white tie gala was held in honor of HRH The Grand Master at the prestigious Columbus Club in Manhattan.
